Young Adults Pastor

I have a wonderful wife Crystal who is an elementary teacher.  As of right now we only have four dogs and one cat.  Together we lead the College and Career ministry at Rio Life.  I have the amazing opportunity to be a part of reaching out to an emerging generation that is hungry for non-superficial relationships and in search for truth.  We meet regularly for group studies and outings.

I am deeply relational and love building new friendships.  A large part of our ministry is connecting people to one another to experience God and life together.

When I was sixteen years old I went to a Sunday morning service to impress a girl.  At the time I was a pot smoking, undirected teen who was looking for something real.  I was amazed at the energy which the congregation had as they worshiped.  Also I was dumbfounded by the way the Speaker(Hector) spoke of Jesus Christ in such a personal way, like he knew him.  I knew he had something that I wanted and deeply needed.  Soon afterward, I gave my life to Jesus Christ.

That lead me to a small Christian college called Crown in Minnesota where I did my studies in Bible and Theology, met Crystal, and returned to Mercedes.  Being in a Bible college helped me to see the importance of deep relationships and the potential for spiritual growth through them.
